On Friday, April 17, Manhattan Beach residents James and Donne hosted a private fundraising gathering at their home to support enhanced operational readiness for local first responders. With the region preparing for major international events—including this year’s World Cup and the 2028 Olympic Games—Police Chief Johnson highlighted several areas where additional resources would strengthen preparedness.
